    About Cosentino

Cosentino describes itself as a global, family-owned Spanish company producing and distributing surfaces for architecture and design. Its published brand portfolio includes Silestone®, Dekton®, Sensa by Cosentino®, Scalea® and Prexury®.

Silestone is described by Cosentino as a mineral low-silica surface produced with its HybriQ+® technology, introduced in 2020, which the company states reduces the crystalline silica content of the material. Dekton is described as a carbon-neutral ultracompact surface produced with TSP technology, using a press that applies 25,000 tons of pressure, and is characterized by the company as having null porosity.

Cosentino publishes different warranty terms per brand: 25 years for Silestone, 25 years for Dekton, 25 years for ĒCLOS, and 15 years for Sensa.

    Caring for Cosentino

    • Keep your invoice and register the warranty on Cosentino's site within six months of purchase — registration is a stated condition of coverage.
    • Care requirements differ across Silestone, Dekton and Sensa; use the care document for the specific material rather than a general quartz routine.
    • Sensa is a natural stone program, so its maintenance expectations differ from the engineered Silestone and Dekton surfaces.

    Cosentino FAQs

What's the difference between Silestone and Dekton?+

Silestone is quartz — best for indoor kitchens and baths. Dekton is an ultra-compact surface made from a blend of porcelain, quartz, and glass — UV stable, heat resistant, and ideal for outdoor kitchens and exterior facades.

Can I use Dekton for an outdoor kitchen in Montana?+

Yes. Dekton is one of the few surfaces engineered for full Montana freeze-thaw cycles and direct UV exposure. It's our top recommendation for covered outdoor kitchens.

What is the difference between Silestone and Dekton?+

They are two distinct Cosentino materials. Silestone is described by Cosentino as a mineral low-silica surface made with HybriQ+® technology, while Dekton is an ultracompact sintered surface made with TSP technology and characterized as having null porosity. Both carry a published 25-year warranty.

Do I have to register a Cosentino warranty?+

Cosentino's published warranty conditions ask for proof of purchase and for the warranty to be registered on its website within six months of purchase. We flag this at delivery so it isn't missed.
