    Robbins Hardwood

American hardwood with a catalog dating to 1886

Robbins Floors is one of the older American hardwood names still in production, with a company history published back to 1886 and incorporation as Robbins Hardwood Flooring in 1919. The current catalog spans solid and engineered hardwood plus rigid core and porcelain, which makes it useful when one house needs several surfaces to agree.

    Montana climate & project considerations

    • Solid hardwood moves with Flathead Valley's winter humidity drop; engineered construction is usually the safer call over slab, over radiant, or in a home that sits empty at 55°F.
    • Wood-stove and radiant heat both need the manufacturer's published humidity range maintained, or the seasonal gapping is on the homeowner.
    • Ask about acclimation time for winter deliveries before scheduling your installer.

    Robbins Hardwood FAQs

Is Robbins hardwood available in the Flathead Valley?+

Robbins is available through Northern Lights Design. Contact us to confirm current samples, pricing, lead time, freight, and warranty terms for the collection you want.

Solid or engineered for a Montana home?+

Over a heated basement or slab, or anywhere with radiant heat, we usually recommend engineered. Solid still makes sense on a stable wood subfloor in a consistently conditioned house.

    Can Robbins floors be refinished?+

Solid hardwood can be refinished multiple times; engineered depends on the wear-layer thickness of the specific product. We confirm the published wear layer for the SKU before you buy.

Do you supply the finish and care products too?+

Yes — our Columbia Falls warehouse carries floor finish, stain, and care products. Refinishing labor is performed by independent contractors, not by Northern Lights Design.
